Icy roads blamed for several crashes in Miami Valley


FAIRBORN, Ohio (WDTN) — Icy roads are being blamed for several crashes across the Miami Valley Wednesday morning.

On I-675, just north of S.R. 235, a pickup truck hauling a trailer slid off into the median. The trailer flipped on its side.

Authoities shut down the left lanes of I-675 both north and southbound to clear the crash. Traffic is moving slow in that area.

In Riverside, two vehicles slid off S.R. 4 near Harshman Road, just minutes apart, just after 7 a.m. Wednesday.

No one was injured in either crash. Police say slick conditions led to both crashes.

The vehicles slid off each side of S.R. 4 southbound, but no lanes were blocked due to the crashes. Traffic was moving slow in the area.

Nearby on S.R. 4 southbound just south of the ramp to I-75 southbound. a vehicle slid off into the median. No injuries were reported in that crash.
