Easter weather extremes

Weather

Snow fell across the Miami Valley late last Easter. The good news is this year Dayton will see partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s this Sunday.

Over the last 30 years, Dayton has seen some extreme Easter weather.

The Miami Valley has seen at least a trace of snowfall 17% of Easters since 1989. Only two days had measurable snowfall. April 1, 2018, we saw 1.7 inches of snow. On April 3, 1994, we saw 2 inches of snow.

Since 1989 it has rained 73% of the time. Five out of 30 Easters saw more than 0.25 inches.

Temperatures vary, but overall highs are in the 70s the majority of the time.

Lows are in the 30s the majority of the time.
