MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — One person is dead after a crash near the Montgomery County – Miami County line Thursday morning.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, crews were dispatched to the scene shortly after 6 a.m. Three vehicles were reportedly involved.

Preliminary investigation showed a 2019 International semi-truck traveled off the left side of the road and stuck the concrete median. The semi slowed and was struck by a 2022 Dodge Charger, operated by Sandra Willis, 42 of Wisconsin.

The Charger was pushed across the northbound lanes of traffic and struck in the right lane by a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox. Willis was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the Charger.

After being transported to the hospital, Willis was pronounced dead. The driver of the Equinox was also treated from non-life-threatening injuries.
