DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A man has been arrested for domestic violence after SWAT was called to a Dayton neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.

According to Dayton Police and Fire, police were called to the 1900 block of Wesleyan Road, near Kings Highway on reports of a domestic violence incident. When officers arrived on the scene, they found the victim outside the home. The victim told officers the man responsible for the domestic violence was still inside the home and was armed with a gun.

The man refused to leave the home and, due to the presence of a firearm, HNT and SWAT were both called to assist.

Officers were able to talk to the man and he eventually left the home where he was arrested without incident. Dayton Police officers said he will likely be charged with domestic violence.

The victim was found to have mild injuries caused by the suspect and did not require treatment.
