KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) – Last year, Alter beat C.J. in week 10 only to have the Eagles return the favor in the opening of the playoffs.

Friday night, the 2 GCL rivals squared off looking to improve their postseason position.

The Eagles were first on the board thanks to a 30-yard field goal by junior kicker Jake Staub.

On CJ’s possession it’s Alter’s defense coming up with the big play, Connor Meyer delivering the quarterback sack and the senior linebacker is fired-up.

Meyer was on his game tonight as he got to the CJ quarterback on the Eagles next possession.

At the start of the second quarter, CJ has better luck when Luke Chandler hits senior wideout Dominic Wilcox for a big gain, but the drive would stall.

The snap goes over Chandler’s head and Alter’s Nathaniel Armstrong is in quickly to make the tackle.

The Knights rally to win their ninth straight.. 35-3 over Chaminade Julienne.
