TIPP CITY, Ohio (WDTN) – This was the game you picked as the most anticipated game of the week.

Tippecanoe is renovating its 70-year-old stadium at Tipp City Park.

Tonight the Red Devils played host to Bellbrook in their first game on the brand new field turf.

The Bellbrook and the Golden Eagles christen the new field with the first touchdown of the season as Brendan Labensky hits Ben Borszcz who stretches across the goal line for the score. 7-0 Eagles.

In the second quarter the Eagles, facing fourth-down and nine go for it and that was a good call. Labensky airs it out to Cameron Brittain behind the defense and it’s another score. 14-0 Bellbrook.

Tipp has sumo power on its side and the Red Devils finally respond.

With an early nominee for catch of the year they fool everyone, including us on the halfback pass.

Adam Liskey wasn’t fooled. He jumped over a defender and reached over his back for an awesome grab.

That catch set up a 35-yard field goal from Ben Sauls. 14-3 Bellbrook at the half.

But it wasn’t enough and Bellbrook flies away with the win, 17-9.
