WEST ALEXANDRIA, Ohio (WDTN) – Week 4 of Operation Football begins in West Alexandria where Twin Valley South played host to National Trail in our Operation Football, Premier health Game of the Week.

Twin Valley and National Trail were both looking for their first conference win of the season.

Trailblazers QB Evynn Short made a pretty game-opening pass to Zach Woodall to get things going.

However, the Panthers forced a fumble with Chase Denlinger falling on it and no score early in the first.

Cade Cottingim was under center for the Panthers and he connects with Caleb Kornett but the drive soon ended.

After some empty drives and a Panther muffed punt, the Trailblazer would respond. Zach Woodall and National Trail takes a 6-0 lead with 11 minutes left in the 1st.

Later in the second quarter, Michael Crews take the handoff and almost trips up on the line of scrimmage but makes a big run and the refs give him the touchdown tying the game 6-6 after a missed PAT.

The Trailblazers answered that with a short and low pass to Peyton Lane who heads to the endzone taking a big hit before the goaline but makes the touchdown to take the Trailblazers ahead 13-6 with 2:20 on the clock.

But things stay interesting when Cottingim draws back and airs it out. The pass was a little short but this is why you never give up on a pass. The ball tips into Chandler Napier’s hands and he’s home free.

Unfortunately, Napier would end up heading to the hospital with a leg injury.

These two teams would end up going to overtime.

Panthers quarterback Cade Cottingim scored a touchdown in overtime and Twin Valley South beats National Trail 26-to-20.
