DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – The race for governor of Ohio makes a stop in Dayton Thursday. Both candidates are holding town hall meetings at the Dayton International Airport.
The Town Hall meetings were about the business community.
The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the event. It was an opportunity for Chamber members to hear directly from candidates about business issues.
Attorney General Mike DeWine and Richard Cordray spoke separately with question and answer sessions following each presentation.
Democratic candidate Cordray and his running mate, Betty Sutton talked about supporting homegrown small business, investing in infrastructure and improving skills training.
Republican candidate DeWine and his running mate, Jon Husted, highlighted the jobs plan DeWIne released this week. DeWine’s plan also focuses on building skills as well as investing in new research and streamlining business regulations.
