YELLOW SPRINGS, Ohio (WDTN) – One of the founders of Young’s Jersey Dairy died overnight.

Charles “Bob” Young and his two brothers founded the ice cream shop and farm decades ago. Young was battling Alzheimers for years before his death.

“He was a hard-worker who was very much involved until these past few years,” said his son, Dan Young.

His older brother, Carl Young is currently working at the farm selling Christmas trees and his young brother, Bill Young was tending to the cows Sunday afternoon.

The family-owned business is asking people donate to the Alzheimer’s Association instead of sending flowers.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the Jackson Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home, 322 Xenia Ave, Yellow Springs.
