SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (WDTN) — The coroner was on scene after a person was pulled from the water in Springfield. According to authorities, an adult male went under in the rapids and did not resurface.

Springfield fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to the area of Snyder Park Road at about 2:54 p.m., authorities said, and a boat and divers were requested to assist with the search.

2 NEWS crews on the scene said they saw rescue crews pull someone from the water. The person was then taken to an ambulance. The coroner was later called to the scene.

According to witnesses on the scene, the person rescued was the only one to fall into the water.

The Clark County Coroner has since identified the victim as 38-year-old Jeremy Craycraft of Springfield.
