Volunteers help URS spruce up

HUBER HEIGHTS, Ohio (WDTN) – Nearly 50 Target employees volunteered as part of Target’s Martin Luther King National Day of Service. It’s an example of what’s working in the Miami Valley.

Store associates from eight Target stores in Dayton and Columbus volunteered Monday at United Rehabilitation Services to paint the center’s cafeteria, bathrooms and clean the classrooms and gym.

URS provides support services to adults and children in our community with disabilities.

Executive Director Dennis Grant said, “It’s great to see people who are so enthusiastic and really excited with the support of their corporate people pushing them to go out and do more. And they do this on a regular basis. This is really not just a one day event for Target. They really care about this community.”

Target also awarded URS with a $5,000 dollar grant.
