VIDEO: Woman dragged off Delta Airlines plane in Detroit

(WFLA) — Police had to forcibly remove a woman from a plane in Detroit on Monday after she reportedly refused to comply with staff at the gate. The entire encounter was caught on video by a fellow passenger.

The fellow passenger, who requested to remain anonymous, filmed the video above where officers are pulling a limp woman, by her wrists, down the plane’s isle.

The fellow passenger said this all went down because, “[The] woman blew by gate agent and didn’t check in because she wasn’t an early boarder and deserved overhead bin space.”

The woman reportedly continuously refused to comply with flight attendant’s instructions, so they called in local law enforcement to escort the women off the plane.

“Police tackled her out of her seat and brought her to the ground,” the fellow passenger said. “Not sure how she was subdued, some people speculated a taser.”

Delta issued a statement to Rene’s Points, which said, “The flight incurred a slight departure delay due to a passenger not complying with boarding and baggage check procedures. The passenger was removed by local law enforcement and the flight was able to continue without further incident.”

Detroit airport officials said in a following statement the woman was pulled from the plane after being asked to leave and was subsequently arrested. Charges are now pending.
