Update: Shooting victim has non-life threatening injuries


DAYTON (WDTN) – Dayton Police are investigating a shooting, after a man was dropped off at Good Samaritan Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Police say the man was dropped off around 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday.

Investigators say it happened at the intersection of Cornell Drive and Philadelphia Drive.

Police say a man was shot in a car and then transported to Good Sam. He has since been taken to Miami Valley Hospital for further treatment.

His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Back at the shooting scene–evidence collection units picked up more than a dozen shell casings from the street.

Police briefly blocked off the intersection of Cornell and Philadelphia as they investigated. After picking up shell casings and investigating, the intersection was reopened.
