One dead after plane crashes into Utah home

PAYSON, Utah (News4Utah) – A plane crashed into a house in Payson, Utah early Monday morning, officials confirm. 

It happened at 584 east Canyon Rd. Utah County dispatch confirms. 

The Canyon Rd. from about 400 east to 600 east and 600 east from 1260 south to the mouth of Payson are closed, officials say. 

The plane crashed into the front of the house and the whole front house was engulfed in flames, authorities say.

There were two people in the home at the time of the crash who were able to escape but the pilot of the plane has been reported dead officials confirm.

Officials are asking you to avoid the area.
