U.S. & World

HANOI, Vietnam (AP) — North Korean state media says leader Kim Jong Un exchanged “sincere and deep opinions” with U.S. President Donald Trump at their dinner meeting.

The Korean Central News Agency said Thursday that the leaders celebrated the progress in bilateral relations since their first summit last June in Singapore. State media also says they discussed ways on Wednesday for making “comprehensive and epoch-making results” at their meetings in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Kim and Trump will hold more meetings on Thursday on resolving the standoff over Kim’s nuclear weapons program and plan to announce a joint statement.
