Brazen California purse snatch caught on camera

U.S. & World

SAN JOSE, Calif. (NBC) – A purse-snatching suspect has been arrested after he was caught on camera stealing from a woman in California.

It happened last week at an office complex in San Jose.

Surveillance video shows the man in pajama pants approach the mom and her young daughter.

You can see the man yanking the purse before dragging them both down a flight of stairs.

Nearby workers rushed to help the victims, who suffered minor bruises.

Police used this video of the suspect and the car he got into to find and arrest 26-year-old Pablo Cabrero Jr.

Investigators say Cabrero was on parole for burglary.

Police believe there are at least four other victims, and that he was targeting Asian women with purses.

Cabrero was booked into the Santa Clara County jail for robbery and parole violation.

Investigators say stolen items were also found in his home.
