Arizona man stung to death by bees

U.S. & World

(KYMA) An Arizona man has died after being stung multiple times by a swarm of bees.

The tragic incident took place over the weekend in Yuma.

Epigmelio Gonzalez and his family were working in their backyard when they found a large beehive between two sofas.

The bees swarmed Gonzalez and stung him multiple times. He was taken to a hospital where he later died. His wife was also transported but is now in stable condition.

Experts are warning that killer bee sightings in Yuma are becoming more of an occurrence.

They say people who are allergic to bees have a lower risk of surviving their sting.
