Alex Trebek to focus on health during break from Jeopardy!

(NBC) – Long-time host of Jeopardy!, Alex Trebek, announced Wednesday that now that he is finished taping the latest season of the game show, he will take the next few months to concentrate on his health.

He has hosted 50 episodes of Jeopardy! since he was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Season 36 is set to begin filming in July.

Trebek took a moment out of a busy tape day to give fans and friends this update:
