Two women arrested after hit and run crash in Jefferson Township

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) — Two women are being held in the Montgomery County Jail in connection with a hit and run accident in Jefferson Township.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of a woman run over by a vehicle around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday in the 1500 block of Kimmel Road, near Ballard Drive.

When deputies arrived, they found a 17-year-old girl had been run over twice by a vehicle. Deputies learned the driver of the vehicle knew the teenager who was injured.

The teenager was taken to Miami Valley Hospital, where she is reportedly in serious condition.

A witness at the scene identified the driver. Detectives also learned what led up to the incident.

Deputies identified two suspects, and located them both a short time later.
One suspect is a 34-year-old woman. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on a charge of abduction.
The second suspect is a 23-year-old woman. She was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on two charges of felony assault.
The names of the suspects haven’t been released yet.
Detectives will meet with prosecutors the coming days for a formal filing of charges.
