HAMILTON, Ohio (WDTN) – An argument at a Hamilton motel led to stabbings that sent two people to the hospital.
It happened around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday at the Hamilton Inn in the 1700 block of Dixie Highway.
Hamilton Police and Hamilton Fire responded to a call of a gunshot victim. When they arrived, officers found two men suffering from stab wounds.
The victims were taken by helicopter to the hospital.
Investigators interviewed witnesses who say a verbal argument between a group of people who had been drinking turned violent.
Full beer cans were thrown at each other, before at least on individual pulled a knife and began swinging it “wildly” when others became involved.
During that fight, two people were stabbed, suffering wounds to the torso. One victim had wounds in the neck/shoulder area.
Both victims were taken to UC, where one of the men underwent surgery. He was alert and conscious.
A third victim sustained minor injuries and required no immediate medical attention.
The person with the knife was gone when police arrived and has not been identified yet.
No arrests have been made at this time.
