Two children found in home raided in drug investigation

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Only 2 NEWS was there when police raided a home Tuesday morning and found more than drugs and guns.

It happened in the 600 block of Latham Street in Dayton.The Dayton Police Drug Enforcement Unit raided the home as part of an investigation.

Inside they found two children as well as money, a gun, heroin, and crack cocaine.

The couple, Sherea Woodson and Devonte Walker were arrested.

Police tell 2 NEWS the couple would drive around Montgomery County selling drugs with the two children in the car. Family members took custody of the two kids.

“It’s very concerning- the business that this is,” Sgt. John Sullivan said. “There’s violence, to have children in the midst of what you do can be a dangerous situation.”

Police are investigating.
