WILMINGTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people now face involuntary manslaughter charges after a man’s fatal overdose.
DeLee Wampler, 52, of Wilmington, and Daymon Haislip, 27, of Cincinnati, were indicted by a Clinton County grand jury on involuntary manslaughter, corrupting another with drugs and drug trafficking.
Investigators say the two supplied the heroin that Cody Hart, 23, of Wilmington, overdosed while using. He died later at the hospital.
Hart died in April after using heroin during a three hour binge.
Lesser charges were filed shortly after his death that led up to the new, more serious charges.
Both Wampler and Haislip are being held in the Clinton County Jail.
