SIDNEY, Ohio (WDTN) — The Ohio State Highway Patrol along with the Sidney Police Department will hold an OVI checkpoint in Sidney to deter drunk drivers.
The checkpoint will be held from 9 p.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday on State Route 47. There will also be nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat alcohol related injury and fatal crashes.
The checkpoint is funded by federal grants.
Officials warn, if you plan to drink, designate a sober driver or make other travel arrangements to get to your destination safely.
