TIMMONSVILLE, S.C. (KRON) – “Saggy pants” are now illegal to wear in a town in South Carolina, according to WBTW.

The Timmonsville Town Council approved the new ordinance on Tuesday night in a 5-1 vote.

The new rule bans “sagging pants” or wearing trousers or shorts where undergarments are exposed.

It also prohibits anyone engaging in public nudity and displaying pornographic material in public.

If anyone is caught violating the new dress code, they could face up to a $600 fine.

Timmonsville isn’t the first town to punish saggy pants. Ocala, a town in central Florida, approved a similar ordinance back in 2014.
