SEVILLE, Spain (WDTN) – The Solar Impulse 2 is back in the air.
The solar-powered plane continued it’s around-the-world journey on Monday morning, taking off from Seville, Spain.
The plane will spend the next two days and two nights in the air, depending on weather, before landing in Cairo, Egypt Wednesday.
The Solar Impulse 2 is trying to become the first solar-powered plane to complete and around-the-world journey.
It landed in Dayton in late May, before moving on to Pennsylvania and New York, and eventually crossing the Atlantic Ocean to land in Spain.
You can track the plane in the air, thanks to 10 cameras mounted in and around the aircraft, by visiting www.solarimpulse.com.
