MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WDTN) — Officials say a sobriety checkpoint in Middletown did its job and kept drunk drivers off the road.

The checkpoint started Friday at 9 p.m. and lasted until 11 p.m. on South Main Street north of 14th Avenue. It was conducted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol along with members from the Butler County OVI Task Force and the Middletown Police Department.

According to officials, 198 vehicles passed through the checkpoint. No vehicles were diverted, and no OVI arrests were made.

As always, officials warn if you plan to drink, designate a sober driver.
