WASHINGTON (AP) – The nation’s capital remains in recovery from the weekend blizzard that dumped about 2 feet of snow in the area.

Federal offices that closed at noon on Friday in advance of the storm will remain closed on Tuesday.

Public school systems in the area will also be closed, as are those in Baltimore and Philadelphia. Airlines are working to restore their schedules. There were more than 2,500 cancelations or delays on Monday.
