Prosecutor: Miamisburg woman appears in court using sister’s identity

MIAMISBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – A Miamisburg woman is accused of lying to investigators after she’s pulled over at a traffic stop.

Tessa White, 29, was reportedly ticketed at a traffic stop in Miamisburg. When asked for her name, she lied to police and gave her sister’s name instead of her real name, according to the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

White went to court for the ticket under her sister’s name and signed paperwork as her sister as well, according to the prosecuting attorney’s office.

The fraud went unbeknownst to her sister until her insurance bills went up. That’s when she notified law enforcement, according to the prosecuting attorney’s office.

White faces charges of identity fraud, forgery, tampering with records, and others.

White is scheduled to appear in court November 3rd.

White was previously arrested in 2010 in the city of Hamilton on unrelated drug charges.
