DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) –  As usual on the day after his State of the Union address, President Obama is hitting the road to drive home his message and his goals for his final year in office.

The president took an optimistic tone Tuesday night; of a nation on the rebound, but also talked about one of his regrets. The president said he regrets that during his presidency, the rancor and suspicion between the two parties has gotten worse instead of better.

Cedarville University Political Science Professor Mark Caleb Smith provided his perspective on the president’s final SOTU address. Hear it for yourself by clicking on the video above.
