Police called to break-in at auto parts store

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Dayton Police are investigating a break-in at an auto shop.

Police were called to O’Reilly Auto Parts located at 4347 West Third Street Saturday after 11:45 p.m. after a front motion sensor was triggered.

When officers arrived, they found one of the metal security shields had been lifted and the glass window was shattered by a rock.

The store manager told police a candy machine and a portable generator were missing from the store. Police said the suspects tried to open a safe in an office, but were unsuccessful.

No arrests have yet been made.
