DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A sobriety checkpoint will be held in Dayton to crack down on impaired driving.
The checkpoint will be held in the area of 2222 James H McGee between Gettysburg Avenue and Philadelphia Drive starting at 10 p.m. Saturday and will last until 2 a.m. Sunday.
The checkpoint will be operated by Five Rivers MetroParks and members of the Combined Agency OVI Task Force of Montgomery County.
The goal of the task force is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related crashes and fatalities.
Officials remind drivers who plan on drinking to designate a sober driver.
