OVI checkpoint planned for Thursday night

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WDTN) – The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday two OVI sobriety checkpoints will be conducted Thursday night in Washington Township.

The first will be held in the 1800 block of Austin Pike and will run from 7–9 p.m.

The second is slated for the 700 block of Miamisburg Centerville road and will be in operation from 10 p.m. to midnight,

Montgomery County Sheriff deputies officers from the Combined OVI Task Force will be looking for impaired drivers and conducting roadside checks and saturation patrols in the surrounding areas.

Law enforcement encourages everyone to be safe this St. Patrick’s Day holiday.
