Victims in Logan County 4-car fatal crash identified


LOGAN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) – The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victims killed in a four-car collision on SR-117 Friday evening.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office tells 2 NEWS that it happened off the 9200 block of SR-117 around 6 p.m.

They say Erik Snyder, 19, and his passenger, Kelly Snyder, 50, were driving southbound on SR-17 near CR-96. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Clayton Stump ,41, was drving northbound on SR-117. He was also pronounced dead at the scene. 

Coery Cummins, 28, was traveling northbound on SR-117. He was transported to St. Rita’s Hospital by Life Flight. He’s currently in stable condition.

His passenger, Timothy Allen, 33, was taken to Mary Rutan Hospital via ambulance and later referred to OSU.

A fourth vehicle swerved to avoid the crash and drove off the right side of the road. No injury or damage were reported.

SR-117 remained closed between SR-274 and SR-235 until the scene could be cleared.

The accident remains under investigation.
