Search for 22-year-old who fell into Licking River will continue Monday

Ohio

LICKING CO., OH (WCMH) — The Licking County Sheriff’s Office says they are searching for a 22-year-old man who fell off a raft in the Licking River on Sunday.

The search will resume Monday morning for James Michael Krofft.

The sheriff’s office says Krofft was on the raft with some friends Sunday afternoon. He fell off and his friends were unable to save him.

The sheriff’s office says the water was too high and fast to put a dive team in the water, so rescue crews used boats. The Ohio Department of Natural Resources and other agencies assisted in the search.
