Police: Man killed 2 women before turning gun on himself


LONDON, Ohio (WCMH) — Police say a man shot and killed two women in London before turning the gun on himself.

According to London police, the shooting happened around 12:33 p.m. outside a home on the 300 block of Landis Lane.

Police found two women outside the home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Yaisa Seward, 40, and Joceline Cordero, 25, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police a man had been arguing with the victims prior to the shooting. They said the shooter drove away in a white Dodge Ram pickup.

Police identified the suspect as 54-year-old James S. Evans. Police found his body behind a church building on U.S. 40, outside of London. Police say he died from a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

London police are investigating the incident along with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and BCI.
