COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) — Online registration for medical marijuana in Ohio is open.

The State Medical Board announced Monday that doctors can now register patients and those patients caregivers through the state’s online registration system.

Patients must have one of 21 qualifying medical conditions to register.

The registry was supposed to open in July. The state delayed the registration process because state-licensed growers were still several months away from harvesting their first crops.

With the online registry open, medical marijuana dispensaries are now one step closer to opening in Ohio.
