A Chipotle restaurant near Columbus is facing a second lawsuit after hundreds of people were sickened after eating there in July.
The second lawsuit comes after more than 700 reports of illnesses tied to the Chipotle in Powell, Ohio. The suit is for $25,000.
The local health department is investigating. It tested for salmonella, E. coli, shigella, and norovirus. The results all came back negative.
Customers say they became violently ill after eating at the restaurant between July 26 and July 30.
The store closed for a day, then reopened after all food that was believed to be contaminated was thrown away.
Chipotle has dealt with several outbreaks in recent years and has been recovering after the setbacks. Its stock has taken a dip after this most recent report of illnesses.
