NWS: EF-2 tornado with winds up to 125 mph hit Shelby, Ohio

RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — An EF-2 tornado hit Shelby, Ohio Sunday afternoon, sending six people to the hospital.

There were no fatalities from the storm. The Shelby YMCA has a shelter open and disaster relief kits for anyone in need.

The National Weather Service in Cleveland surveyed the storm’s path Monday, determining the tornado was EF-2 strength with winds of 120-125 miles per hour and a path of 17 miles long and a half mile wide.
