New Ohio projects expected to create more than $463 million in investments

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jon Husted announced Monday that they have approved assistance for 11 projects that will create 1,715 new jobs and retain 1,448 jobs statewide. Two of these projects are in the Miami Valley.

During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought forth by JobsOhio and its regional partners.

In the Miami Valley, those projects include:

Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., Cities of Beavercreek and Fairborn (Greene Co.), Dayton and Riverside (Montgomery Co.), expects to create 60 full-time positions, generating $5.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $30.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the cities of Beavercreek, Fairborn, Dayton, and Riverside. Booz Allen Hamilton is a consulting firm specializing in analytics, digital solutions, engineering, and cybersecurity.

The TCA approved a 1.912 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Crocs Inc., City of Dayton (Montgomery Co.), expects to create 130 full-time positions, generating $4.4 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Dayton. Crocs designs, develops, markets, and distributes casual lifestyle footwear and accessories.

The TCA approved a 1.54 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

ATS Ohio Inc., Orange Township (Delaware Co.), expects to create 40 full-time positions, generating $2.5 million in new annual payroll and retaining $8.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Orange Township. ATS Ohio provides solutions in factory design, new product launches, capacity expansions, and productivity improvement.

The TCA approved a 1.493 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Magna Seating of America Inc., City of Lancaster (Fairfield Co.), expects to create 300 full-time positions, generating $14 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Lancaster. Magna Seating of America develops and manufactures automotive systems, assemblies, modules, and components for cars and light trucks.

The TCA approved a 1.809 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Nexient LLC, City of Dublin (Franklin Co.), expects to create 200 full-time positions, generating $15 million in new annual payroll and retaining $229,934 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Dublin. Nexient develops software for various industries including technology, health care, finance and insurance, and manufacturing.

The TCA approved a 2.068 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Quantum Health Inc., City of Columbus (Franklin Co.), expects to create 350 full-time positions, generating $18.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $47.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Columbus. Quantum Health coordinates patient care and traditional claims and benefits on behalf of employers.

The TCA approved a 1.71 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Hendrickson USA LLC, City of Canton and Village of Navarre (Stark Co.), expects to create 300 full-time positions, generating $9.1 million in new annual payroll and retaining $22.9 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Canton and Village of Navarre. Hendrickson USA develops and manufactures suspension systems and related components for the tractor-trailer industry.

The TCA approved a 1.273 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

IMCD US LLC, City of Westlake (Cuyahoga Co.), expects to create 25 full-time positions, generating $2 million in new annual payroll and retaining $5.8 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Westlake. IMCD sells, markets, and distributes specialty chemicals, along with pharmaceutical and food ingredients.

The TCA approved a 1.305 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Petmin USA Inc., City of Ashtabula (Ashtabula Co.), expects to create 110 full-time positions, generating $6.6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Ashtabula. Petmin is a mining company that produces and exports pig iron for steel-making.

The TCA approved a 1.67 percent, 10-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Modula Inc., (Location TBD), expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $3.7 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in a to-be-determined location. Modula manufactures automated picking and storage solutions for factories and warehouses.

The TCA approved a 1.52 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Trew LLC, (Location TBD), expects to create 100 full-time positions, generating $14.3 million in new annual payroll and retaining $162,417 in existing payroll as a result of the company’s new project in a to-be-determined location. Trew provides automated material handling solutions including manufacturing equipment, systems, and software.

The TCA approved a 2.59 percent, nine-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Collectively, all 11 projects are expected to bring in more than $94 million in new payroll and spur more than $463 million in investments across Ohio.
