CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) — Multiple sources are reporting Marvin Lewis is out as Cincinnati Bengals head coach.
The team reportedly fired Lewis Monday morning.
Lewis coached the Bengals for 16 seasons, resurrecting a struggling franchise.
He led the Bengals to seven playoff appearances, including five in a row. Lewis went 0-7 in the post-season, the worst post-season record in NFL history.
The Bengals signed Lewis to a two-year contract extension after the team went 7-9 in 2017.
However, the Bengals went just 6-10 this season, struggling down the stretch after starting the year 4-1.
An 11 a.m. news conference is scheduled, with Lewis expected to address the media.
