Children abducted by mother found safe, Amber Alert canceled

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WDTN) — The Amber Alert issued for two missing children abducted by their mother has been canceled.

The children have been found safe and the mother is in custody.

The Cleveland Police Department issued the statewide Amber Alert Tuesday morning.

Police say 28-year-old Arriel Rose Bryant killed the father of the two children before abducting them from a home on Alhambra Avenue in Cleveland.

Bryant is described as a 28-year-old black woman. She stands 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. Bryant has brown hair and brown eyes.

Police say Bryant is wanted for murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

It started when officers responded to a home in the 900 block of Alhambra for shots fired around 8:15 p.m. Monday. Upon their arrival, authorities found one person dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators say the shooting happened during an argument between the victim and Bryant, who then left the scene with her children.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 1-877-AMBER-OH (1-877-262-3764).
