HAMILTON, Ohio (WLWT) – It was a star-studded affair in Butler County Wednesday when the stars of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton” paid a visit to the city of Hamilton for a meet-and-greet with the city’s iconic statue…of Hamilton!
Some Hamilton High Schoolers were left almost speechless.

“Hamilton has changed my life drastically because it actually saved it,” she says.
The Junior says she was battling depression when she was introduced to musical theater.
“After listening and learning about Alexander Hamilton, how he came from nothing, and he’s one of our founding fathers…it made me realize there’s more to life than what it is now. You have to look ahead,” she said.
Students were looking ahead but living in the moment as they spend time with the men who play George Washington and Alexander Hamilton.
“I just want to say, being a Midwestern boy myself, that Ohio is the heart of this country and it’s really lovely to come to a town of this size that has clearly maintained its integrity,” says Paul Oakley Stovall, who plays George Washington.
Before leaving, Mayor Pat Moeller recognized them with a proclamation, and of course, Hamilton water.
