Brother of boy who died of brain cancer after celebrating early Christmas struck by multiple cars

Ohio

NORTHGATE, Ohio (WDTN) – Less than two weeks after burying their youngest son who died of cancer, the family of Brody Allen was struck by another tragedy.

Their 19-year-old son, Brody’s older brother, was hit by at least two cars Monday night, putting him in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

WLWT reports that the teen, Andrew, was hit about a half-mile away from the family’s home.

He is now in a medically-induced coma.

Andrew became a familiar face to those who followed the story of his younger brother Brody, who celebrated an early Christmas a few months ago knowing that his cancer would keep him from being here on the actual holiday.

Brody was buried 11 days ago.

The boys’ parents were reportedly on a cruise when the accident happened, and a full day went by before authorities were able to tell them what had happened to Andrew.
