CINCINNATI, Ohio (WDTN) — A group of students at a school in Cincinnati have proven to be ACT aces.

WLWT reports 17 students, nine juniors and eight seniors, earned perfect scores on the standardized test used for college admission.

16-year-old Nick deck earned a perfect score on his second try. He says he and his mom were in disbelief as they read the result.s

“We were very confused for about 20 seconds and then it clicked in both of our heads and we were both like, this is incredible,” Deck said.

Studies show only one tenth of one percent of students who take the test record a perfect score.

Walnut Hills Principal John Chambers praised the students for their scores, and the work it took to get there.

“It’s all the students, it’s their work and their work ethic and I would give credit to their teachers, because their teachers prepare them extremely well,” Chambers said.
