New Lebanon under boil advisory until Wednesday

NEW LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) – The Village of New Lebanon is under a boil advisory after a water main break.

The Village says on their website the boil advisory will be lifted Wednesday at noon.

Municipal Manager George Markus told 2 NEWS Tuesday a water main break happened Monday afternoon in the 900 block of West Main Street, causing the boil advisory.

Markus said this is the second break in that general area in the last two weeks.

Markus said the water system never entered a “negative pressure” state and he expects the boil advisory will be lifted  Wednesday morning.

Water crews in are repairing another water line break  Tuesday on Rosetta Street, but Markus said this repair did not contribute to the issuance of the boil advisory.

The boil advisory has affected about 1,700 customers.
