DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A man from New Lebanon is headed to prison for rape and gross sexual imposition of a Brookville child.
Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr. and Brookville Police Chief Doug Jerome said Friday Jonathan Boehme, Jr., 38, of New Lebanon, was sentenced to a total of 11 ½ years to life in prison for crimes.Between 2012 and 2015, the defendant raped a pre‐teen Brookville child on multiple occasions.

During a jury trial, testimony from the victim, as well as physical and DNA evidence was presented. The jury found Boehme guilty of three counts of rape of a child under 13 years of age, and one count of gross sexual imposition by force on August 18.
Friday, Boehme was sentenced to 10 years to life on each rape count, ordered to be served concurrently with each other, plus an additional 18 months on the gross sexual imposition for a total sentence of 11 ½ years to life in the penitentiary. Also, Boehme was designated a Tier III sex offender, meaning he will be required to register his address with authorities every 90 days for the rest of his life if he is ever released from prison.
Prosecutor Heck said, “The Brookville Police Department did an outstanding job in investigating this case. I want to commend the victim in this case for being courageous and
reporting the defendant’s actions. If you know of a child being abused, or even suspect it, please report it.”
Brookville Police Chief Jerome added, “Today’s sentencing of this defendant should send a message to the community that we will not tolerate those who sexually abuse children, and we
will work tirelessly to protect the children in our community.”
