New Jersey couple disappears in Barbados while jet skiing

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — A couple from New Jersey vacationing in Barbados is missing after going jet skiing.

The Royal Barbados Police say in a release that Oscar Suarez and Magdalena Devil were last seen Monday afternoon in Holetown Beach when the rented jet skis.

When they didn’t return after about 30 minutes, police and the Barbados Coast Guard searched the waters but couldn’t find them or the jet skis.

Police say both were wearing life jackets.

The 32-year-old Suarez and 25-year-old Devil arrived in Barbados last Saturday and were scheduled to stay for a week.
