DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A project seven years in the making will be a new home for Dayton’s veterans.

Congressman Mike Turner toured the completed Lyons Place II Monday.

It is a Saint Marys Development housing project at the Dayton Veterans Medical Center that will provide affordable housing for veterans.

They are large spaces, new construction and have easy access to the VA.

“Our veterans honored us with their service. We’re honoring them today with this facility that is now open, giving them access to quality housing and quality healthcare,” said Congressman Turner.

The development will host an open house on June 29.

Congressman Turner says he hopes to continue to work with the VA and Saint Marys on more housing for veterans.
