DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Police are investigating after a man was found dead inside a Dayton home, with a gunshot wound.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Officer has identified him Saturday as 42-year-old Sayed Villanueva of Dayton.

Officers arrived at a house in the 1100 block of Grafton Avenue near Delaware Avenue just before 1:00 pm Friday.

It was an emotional scene – several family and friends of the victim were seen crying. One woman was yelling out: “Not you, Sayed. It’s not fair.”

Police say Villaneuva was discovered by family members who dialed 911.

“It was in the upstairs of the residence, but we can’t get too specific. We really don’t have too many facts right now. We’re still working the scene,” Sgt Joseph Heyob said. “Homicide detectives are talking to people right now.”

Heyob said Villaneuva was shot “at least once”.

Two women were taken to the police station for questioning but there haven’t been any arrests, so far.

Police are not releasing any more information about the investigation.
