DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Dayton police arrested a 22-year-old man after he’s accused of trafficking drugs.

It happened just before 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dayton Racino.

A plain-clothed police officer in an unmarked vehicle says he saw Dakota Q. Spurlock, 22, in a car with three other people pull into a parking spot near the back of the parking lot, which sparked them as odd, as they didn’t park closer to the Racino.

Spurlock got out of the car, then got into a black Porsche — as a passenger. When Spurlock exited the car after a few minutes, the officer saw the bag of drugs in Spurlock’s hand. Spurlock’s car, and the Porsche left the parking lot.

The plain-clothed officer said no marked officers on the street were able to pull them over.

After 30 minutes or so, the same car came back. Spurlock got out of the car and was in the parking lot with another female.

Eventually, marked police were able to respond to the parking lot. At which point, the female got back into the car and the car sped away, leaving Spurlock in the parking lot.

A marked police officer patted Spurlock down, finding what he identified as meth on him.

When the officer spoke with him, Spurlock said that he had purchased the $350 worth of meth from a man named “Swag”, but didn’t know his real name — saying that the meth was for the people in the car he was in.

Spurlock told police that he does snort meth and that the meth that he had would last him two to three days.

Spurlock was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges related to drug trafficking.
